Dwight Mahabir

Dwight Mahabir

Actor • Singer (Baritenor)

Singing… has always been my primary instinct; acting came as a natural extension of that expression.

As a young child, I distinctly remember the thrill of seeing the musicals “I Do I Do”, “Camelot”, “Hair”, “Promises Promises” etc. Films such as “Gone with the Wind”, “Dr. Zhivago”, “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner”, and “Funny Girl”; and I knew this was my calling; this was my life. Even though this calling would lay dormant for many years, that passion would never diminish.

Connecting with the audience is the ultimate aim of the performer and I endeavor to continually reach new heights in the performing arts.
